Cover Reveal!!! Conklin's Foundation by Brooke Page

Synopsis
Becca finally found her courage and faced her tormentors head on to get what she deserved: respect and Tyler Conklin.  Becca’s faith in Tyler is solid, but is he willing to completely open up to her?  They both have past baggage, and as Becca says, Tyler’s is particularly old.
With everything they have been through, Becca and Tyler know that secrets get them nowhere.  They have made great leaps and bounds in their relationship, but Becca can’t help but feel he is still keeping something from her.  Between the local detective snooping around and asking questions at the Conklin building and Tyler’s evasive answers, Becca remains skeptical about his excuses.  The detective seems more interested in Tyler’s father’s “projects”, but Tyler’s hands seem to be in the pot as well.
Unfortunately, Tyler’s past comes back in his face along with his shady business.  Will Becca hold true to her new found confidence and claim what’s hers… including Tyler?

Tyler just smiled at me then his eyes caught my headband.  “Is that new?”
I nodded my head and told him about the little girl that was peddling.
“Sucker,” Tyler teased, putting a hand on the other side of my hip. He was half leaning over me now, and the proximity of him was starting to get to me in a very good way.
He leaned closer, bringing his hand up to touch the headband, a mischievous game was playing in his eyes.
“Jamie told me I was being a bad citizen by supporting the peddling little girl,” I said.
“Yes, well, Jamie also said something last night that bothered me,” Tyler said, his eyes becoming hard.
I furrowed my brows at him.  What did she say that upset him?
“Why did she refer to me as gentle?  What exactly was she talking about?”
My face turned red as I bit my lip.  I didn’t think Tyler would ever know about my talking to Jamie about our intimacy, and I didn’t think Jamie would ever be dumb enough to open her mouth.  I guess I was wrong.
“She said I was a gentle lover,” he whispered darkly.
“I like how you make love to me,” I said quietly, my face still crimson.  I gripped the back of the lounger tighter, wanting to change the subject.  But Tyler wasn’t having it, and I couldn’t tell if this was a fun game to him or if he were legitimately upset.
“But you want it harder?” he asked, snaking his hand under my thigh, letting my cover up hike up my leg more.  “Am I boring you?” he said, cocking his head to the side.
I shook my head no, terrified that he would think something crazy like that.  I never knew how good sex could be until I met Tyler.
He eyed me then eyed my headband again, a small smile playing on his lips as his eyes became more heated.  He suddenly moved his hands on either side of my hips then trailed them up my sides and to my arms. Goose bumps filled my skin, and my hands were still grasping the back of the chair.
Tyler leaned in to kiss me then whispered against my lips.  “Let’s have a little fun, shall we?”
I looked at him while taking a sharp inhale, my heart racing from his touch.  He moved his hands further up my biceps, but his thumbs hooked the headband in my hair, pulling it all the way up along my arms, my hair cascading down, pieces falling one at a time until it was freed.  The feel of the small beads gently massaged my arms as they made their slow route to the top of the lounger.  Tyler kept his eyes on me the entire time, and I was caught in his trance, my chest heaving with his intense stare.
Tyler moved to grasp one of my hands, gently wrapping the headband around my wrist then through the top bar of the lounger.  He spun the stretchy headband more, tightening it on my one wrist then forcing the headband to loop around my other wrist.  My arms were now attached to the back of the lounger by the beads I bought from a 12-year-old-girl.  I flexed my hands and gave a small tug.  I couldn’t release them, and the blood in my veins started to pump so fast and hard throughout my body I thought I might explode.
Tyler was suddenly straddling me.  He ran his nose along mine and murmured, “I don’t want you to think I am boring.  So let’s have some fun.”
I sighed as he kissed my neck.  But I quickly stiffened when I heard a couple of women laughing.
“Tyler, there are people walking around down there.  I can see their heads,” I whispered, as though they would be able to hear.
Tyler kissed my collarbone then ran his nose and tongue downward, ignoring my worry.
“Tyler!” I squirmed, half scolding him.  “What are you doing?  Those people will hear us!”
When Tyler finally kissed to the bottom of my cover up where my skin was exposed, he gave my thigh a big wet kiss, never taking his dark blue-green eyes off of me.
“I guess you are going to have to be quiet then,” he murmured with dark, mischievous eyes.
